ULTRAFILTRATION MEMBRANES, RO plant

The hollow fiber ultra-filtration membrane is encased in a reinforced epoxy glass shell as an integrated unit. This design takes into account the stress on the module when the casing is joined to the membrane. The water inlet and outlet are located at the end of the module. The module is small and compact, easy to install and the system can be fully automated. The maximum water inlet pressure can reach up to 0.6MPa and allows a pressure difference up to 0.2MPa. The 8080 module system filtration area (based on the membrane surface area) is twice that of the 8040 module system. To ensure the effective transmembrane pressure, the permeate must be allowed to flow from both permeate outlet points. When operating, the pressure should be slowly rises or depressed in order to avoid changing suddenly

Ultra-filtration is a pressure-driven purification process in which water and low molecular weight substances permeate a membrane while particles, colloids, and macromolecules are filtered. The primary removal mechanism is size exclusion. A properly designed UF cartridge allows efficient rising of ionic residue from the cleaning and rapidly returns to optimal resistivity and organic purity. Reagent-grade sodium hydroxide has proven to be an effective cleaning agent with the following benefits
